Our Commitment To Health And Safety

WITH 1,200 different animals in a 170-hectare mountain property, the Cebu Safari Adventure Park in Carmen, northern Cebu, is one of its kind in the whole country.

Seeing that visitors from all over have since flocked to Carmen for the safari experience since it opened in 2018, Rep. Duke Frasco filed House Bill 7848 seeking to officially declare the park as a tourist destination in the Philippines.

Frasco, in filing the bill, recognizes the enormous potential that the park will bring if it is officially included in the list of well-developed attractions in Southeast Asia.

“With the influx of tourists, these tourist spots will be a significant source of business opportunities that can support local entrepreneurship and livelihood in Cebu,” Frasco explained.

Aside from housing animals imported from Spain, Australia, US, Africa and other countries, the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park also has a botanical complex. The park has one of the longest and highest ziplines in the country, at 1.3 kilometers long and 671 meters high.

If the bill is enacted into law, the development of support facilities and the access roads leading to the park will be one of the priorities of the Department of Tourism.

Per the bill, the tourism department will also be tasked to prepare a Tourism Development Plan for the construction of other facilities or infrastructure projects that will strengthen the tourism activities in the area.

Frasco said: “Our vision to uplift the lives of the people of the entire Fifth District of Cebu will come into fruition by strengthening the economic status of its towns and city. Official government recognition of tourism spots such as this spells increased government spending to provide access and infrastructure, opening up massive opportunities for the people of the District.” (PR)
